Spending the biggest part of August in Paris has been a wonderful opportunity to explore it in a different way. The usual routine seems to have vanished with the grey skies and the city, abandoned by the majority of its inhabitants presents a totally different face. It has also been an occasion to familiarize myself with my new neighborhood, Montmartre, which is a pretty unique village within the city. Although an obligatory tourist spot, Montmartre has strangely succeeded in keeping some of its authentic soul, one just has to get lost in its narrow cobblestone streets.
